Wedding photographer Ghent

Ruth + Rik

They had a mutual friend that felt they were a perfect match. They had never laid eyes on each other yet, never met, never talked but both held back.

Time passed and some night they accidentally did meet. They had an instant connection and fell in love.

Living in London but getting married in Ghent, their biggest concern was to show their hometown in all it’s beauty to the many guests that came in from the UK to join their wedding party.

Their tour took us from eating cuberdons to enjoying ‘Gentse Waterzooi’, cupcakes on the river side, coffee in the theater and so much more. Ghent’s historic inheritance didn’t remain unnoticed to the guests. The heart of the city holds many historical remains and couldn’t have been a better backdrop.

At night snowflakes started falling from the sky, covering the earth in all white. David and I walked hand in hand, close to each other to protect ourselves from the cold. We were on our way to enjoy dinner together after shooting yet another wonderful wedding and reminiscing what a fortunate life we get to live doing what we do and on top of that meeting so many wonderful people along the way.

Ruth and Rik, you are two of those wonderful people we got to meet and we feel honored to have been able capturing your wedding day. We loved every little bit of it!

Lots of love,

C + D
